Hamirpur, 19 August (HS). Police on Monday arrested four robbers who had looted two brothers riding a bike at gunpoint near Virkhera turn on Mundera Road in Sumerpur police station area. Police have also recovered the looted goods.

It is noteworthy that when Sisoler resident Vishambar Singh and Jitendra Singh son of Shivbaran Singh were coming to Sumerpur by bike to go to Lucknow by Chitrakoot Express, then between Badanpur-Birkhera four miscreants on bike assaulted them and looted 25 thousand cash, two mobiles, bank passbook, cheque book, Aadhar card, clothes and other important documents. Vishambar Singh had to go to Lucknow, his brother Jitendra Singh was going to send him to board the train, after the incident both the brothers reached Sumerpur police station bleeding, police admitted them to PHC and on the complaint of Vishambar Singh a case was registered against 4 unknown persons under section 309 (4) BNS.

After this incident, the police immediately swung into action and started investigating the incident by going to the spot and informed the higher authorities. CO Sadar, who reached the spot, gave instructions to the Sumerpur police station in-charge to reveal the incident.

CO Sadar Rajesh Kamal said on Monday that information was received about the presence of the four miscreants who carried out the robbery near Birkhera turn. Police teams surrounded and caught all four of them. Among the four accused, two are 17 years old and two are 15 years old. A pistol, a cartridge, Rs 12500 looted, a pittu bag, five shirts, three pants, a lungi, cheque book, Aadhar card and two motorcycles used in the robbery have been recovered from their possession.
