In Chhattisgarh, Rs. 750 crore medical equipment scam revealed

Raipur: Police said in a statement that a case has been registered against Health Department officials and four companies for irregularities in the purchase of medical equipment worth Rs 750 crore in Chhattisgarh in 2023.

The case was filed by the Anti -Corruption Bureau and the Economic Offenses Branch.

According to an ACB official, Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited (CGMSCL) (CGMSCL), Directorates and Four Companies Makshy Corporation, Durg, CB Corporation, Durg, Records and Medicare System HSIIDC, Panchkula Are included. There is no person’s name in the FIR. According to the official, more than a dozen places were raided in Raipur, Durg and Haryana in Chhattisgarh.

During the raid, the premises of Makshy Corporation, Sri Sharda Industries and Records and Medicare System were covered. Various documents, electronic equipment, bank account details were seized during the raid.

The state’s Public Health and Family Welfare Department had issued guidelines for the purchase of medical equipment. According to the FIR, it was instructed to buy medical equipment for the installation of Hummer Lab in 2021.
