Lok Sabha elections: BSP candidate from Chandigarh Dr. Ritu Singh met with an accident when her supporters were weighing her with coins. During the election campaign in Daddu Majra, these were placed on a scale and coins were also placed on the other side.
Meanwhile, the fork broke from above and the iron scale fell on Dr. Ritu Singh's head. She suffered a severe head injury and started bleeding and was rushed to the hospital. According to a report in 'News Break', she is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Who is Dr. Ritu Singh?
Dr. Ritu Singh was a professor at Delhi University. BSP has given her a ticket from Chandigarh. Ritu Singh was expelled from Delhi University for continuously participating in movements. Ritu Singh is a Dalit activist. She was vocal about caste-based discrimination in educational institutions.
In 2019, she joined Delhi University's Daulat Ram College as an assistant professor. But within a year she was suspended and her contract was not renewed. Even after this, she protested for about 200 days. Later she joined the BSP.
