Banud: Farmer organizations opposed BJP candidate Preneet Kaur who reached Banur on Thursday. He had come here to share the grief of the old Congress leader after his brother's death. On this occasion, farmers held farmer flags in their hands and raised slogans against the Central Government and Preneet Kaur.

According to the information received, on receiving information about the arrival of candidate Praneet Kaur, Deputy General Secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Union Rajewal, Lakhwinder Singh Karala, Gurpreet Singh Sekhan Majra, Yadwinder Sharma, Inderjeet Khalor, Satveer Singh Khaspar, Sukhwinder Singh, Harpal Singh arrived. And about 15 farmers like Gurvinder Singh Ginda Karala etc. reached there with flags. As soon as the farmer leaders arrived, they started raising slogans against the BJP leader and the Modi government at the Centre. Seeing the matter heating up, BJP candidate Preneet Kaur thought it better to leave from there, but farmer leaders came forward and stopped her car. The farmer leaders were demanding that the BJP candidate get down from the car and talk to them, but he remained sitting in the car. After this, seeing the opportunity, his driver drove away the car.

Farmer leaders said that they will continue to peacefully oppose the BJP candidates on the call of the United Kisan Morcha. Farmers announced that in the next few days, more mobilization will be done regarding this campaign and there will be complete opposition to BJP candidates in the villages. He accused the central government of not meeting the demands of the farmers and not allowing the farmers to go to Delhi for peaceful protests, which would lead to opposition from the BJP.
