Rudraprayag, July 10 (HS). The body of Kedarnath MLA Shailarani Rawat was brought to Rudraprayag BJP office by ambulance, where a condolence meeting was organized in the party office premises. More than 150 BJP workers gathered for the last darshan of Shailarani. Before this, the body was also taken to her maternal home Tehri where people from her maternal side also had the last darshan. During this, the district's in-charge minister Saurabh Bahuguna was also present.
On Wednesday, Shailrani Rawat's body was wrapped in a BJP flag and taken to Gadolia Tehri via an ambulance from Dehradun, from where it was then brought to the Rudraprayag BJP office. A large number of BJP workers who had already gathered here took their last glimpse of Shailrani Rawat in a sombre atmosphere.
During this, the state cabinet and district in-charge minister Saurabh Bahuguna said that this is an irreparable loss, which can never be compensated. Shailrani Rawat was a hardworking leader, who always advocated for the development of the region along with public concerns. Her contribution will always be remembered.
Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary said that not everyone can be like Shailrani. She had good political skills. She had the ability to present her views effectively on various platforms. Her contribution will always be remembered.
BJP District President Mahavir Panwar said that this is a big loss for the party. It is not possible to compensate for it. His departure has come as a big shock to the BJP. Every worker is sad. A large number of BJP officials and workers from the city and district were present on this occasion.
Tributes were also paid at his residence in Agastyamuni. A large number of workers reached his house in Agastyamuni. His last rites will be performed at Triveni Ghat Guptkashi Vidyapeeth on Thursday.
