Araria 02 September (HS). A meeting of the members of the peace committee was held on Monday under the chairmanship of SDM Shailaja Pandey on behalf of the subdivision administration in the police station premises regarding the unsuccessful attempt by the miscreants to create disturbance during the Mahaveeri flag procession in Forbesganj on Sunday. During the meeting, there was a lot of commotion and heated atmosphere and there was a lot of accusation and counter accusation on each other for spoiling the atmosphere of the city, but the atmosphere was calmed down on the initiative of the people present in the meeting and the administrative and police officers.
During the meeting, a ten-member committee was formed to identify the miscreants from both sides, which will identify the miscreants and submit its report to the administration. Two separate committees of five members each have been formed in the ten-member committee. One committee includes Pradeep Dev, Prof. Ganesh Thakur, Vimal Singh, Manoj Soni, Bhavesh Kashyap and Anshu Kannaujia of Shri Ram Sena. The other committee includes Mohd. Shakir, Noor Master, Shamim Ahmed, Wahid Ansari and Naseem Mian.
SDM Shailaja Pandey, who was presiding over the meeting, appealed to the people present to live in harmony and brotherhood in the society. She said that the administration has all the footage of the incident and action will be taken in the matter. She said that the administration is completely in alert mode and any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. She said that work is being done in a peaceful manner and action will be taken against the culprits after investigation. Meanwhile, ASP Rampukar Singh talked about taking strict action against those who post on social media. He said that those who post objectionable posts are being continuously caught and they will not be spared under any circumstances.
On the other hand, the people present in the meeting asked those who talked about brotherhood in the peace committee meeting to show brotherhood at the social level as well. Despite the ban on DJ, questions were raised on the inclusion of DJ in the procession and a demand was made to identify the culprits and take action against them. MLA Vidyasagar Keshari also arrived for a short while in the meeting, but immediately left the meeting.
