The Supreme Court has given a big blow to Narendra Modi's BJP which violated the code of conduct. WhatsApp messages of Modi government have been blocked immediately.

The Election Commission has given instructions to immediately ban WhatsApp messages of Modi government. The Election Commission has directed the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to immediately stop the delivery of Vikas Bharat messages on WhatsApp.

The Election Commission said that an immediate compliance report has been sought from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in this matter. He said that the Election Commission has received many complaints that despite the announcement of General Elections 2024 and implementation of MCC, such messages are still being sent on the phones of citizens.

In response, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology told the Commission that these letters were sent before the implementation of the MCC. Some of them have arrived late due to network.

At the same time, on Thursday, the Supreme Court has once again refused to ban the law on appointment of election commissioners. He said doing so at this stage would only create chaos and uncertainty.

Clarifying on the Supreme Court order, Justice Khanna said that we cannot put a stay on the law at this stage and it will only create chaos and uncertainty.

It is noteworthy that there are no allegations against the newly appointed Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu. The court said that it cannot be assumed that the law made by the Center is wrong.
