Jain monk's memory miracle: 'Remembering things that are not remembered causes memory loss. When through meditation the memory becomes higher and thoughts become pure. These are the words of 34-year-old Jain monk Ajitchandrasagarji Maharaj, who will listen to 1000 questions from the audience simultaneously at NSCUI Worli in Mumbai on May 1 and then answer them sequentially. People who know the art of storing 1000 questions in their mind simultaneously are called Sahasravadhani.
A total of 1000 questions will be asked in 100 categories
From 8.30 am to 2.30 pm in the hall, the audience will ask 1000 questions from 100 different categories, out of which 10 will be from the same category. Asking a question and then giving an answer is possible for everyone, but the special Sahasravadhana is very rare. Therefore, neurologists, judges, IAS-IPS, professors, vice chancellors of universities, lecturers of coaching classes, motivational speakers, scholars, intellectuals and thinkers are also expected to be present to witness this experiment.
This experiment is reminiscent of the Guru-Shishya tradition of ancient times.
Any person can remember only 5 to 10 percent of things at a time, but remembering 1000 things simultaneously and reproducing them in sequence is an amazing phenomenon for the intellectuals and enlightened people of the world. This experiment reminds us of the Guru Shishya tradition that in ancient times, the Guru used to give oral teachings to his disciple and the disciple used to remember the lesson after listening to it once.
In the practice of Sahasrada, the brain stores information like a computer.
Ajitchandra Sagarji Maharaj can narrate any number of things, pictures or characters to 1000 listeners without the help of a note, pen, laptop or computer. According to the experiment, some mathematicians will tell difficult statistics, some historical characters, some pictures or some sayings or quotes will sit only once. After collecting a thousand such information, Muni Sadsalat will tell who said what and how many people said what.
Ajitchandra Sagarji Maharaj has the same power in his mind by which we can save any information in the computer. According to scientific belief, whatever the human brain sees, reads, hears or thinks, its first collection of knowledge is in the brain. From there the unknown mind or intelligence or contemplation or the thing seen or heard becomes stable. The practitioner takes what he sees, reads, hears and thinks beyond the mind and anchors it in the soul, which is called avadhārana or remembrance in Jainism.
Memory power of 50 thousand children improved through meditation and meditation.
Through Saraswati Sadhana Research Foundation, Acharya Bhagwatshree and Guru Bhagwant have so far provided Saraswati Mata Sadhana to more than 50,000 children, the main objective of which is to enhance their inner strength, perception and memory.
Every human being is a storehouse of energy if the energy within him is channelized in the right way. His desire is to improve the memory power of more than 5 lakh students through sadhana in two years. To develop moral qualities, increase self-confidence and inclination towards spirituality among the youth of the country, it is necessary to develop brain power through spiritual practice.
Internal powers are developed through the power of silence, meditation and yoga: Ajitchandra Sagarji
Ajitchandra Sagarji Maharaj says 'Religious study, recitation of Aagam and the words of Aagam become power for the saints instead of worldly conversation. I took initiation at a young age and followed the path of renunciation. While facing the wall and reciting religious verses, Gurushri Nayachandrasagar Maharaj said to remain silent for 3 days. After that he observed the fast of silence for 8 consecutive years because he understood the glory of silence. It was only by maintaining this silence that the powers of the brain began to be realized. Internal powers are developed through the power of silence, meditation and yoga.
Thousands of questions can be remembered through meditation and silence.
Talking about this, Jainism scholar Atulbhai Shah says, 'A common man can remember things by listening to them with his knowledge mind. A person with mega powers can remember 10 to 15 things, but if he tries to remember more than that the sequence gets distorted.
But Ajitchandrasagar Maharaj, a practitioner of self-power, meditation and silence, can simultaneously answer hundreds of questions asked by different people in sequence, which is a wonderful and supernatural thing. This power had awakened in him when he was 6 to 9 years old. The veil of karma diminishes man's memory. The more it is used, the more the brain power increases.
Repetition of a historical event that occurred six centuries ago
Shrimad Rajchandra Shatavdhani was an ardent scholar of Jainism. Centenary means the ability to remember a hundred things simultaneously in sequence without any error. Similarly, Sahasravadhani has to remember 1000 things in sequence without forgetting one. Earlier, Ajitchandrasagar Maharaj had answered Shatavdhan (100 questions) at Town Hall in Ahmedabad in 2008 and Shanmukhananda Hall in Mumbai in 2012 (200 questions) and in 2018 (500 questions).
Now go beyond that and tackle 1000 Avadhāna (1000 questions). According to History of Jain Tradition Part-2, before the 16th century, Gani Munisunderji Maharaj, the author of Santikar Source, had answered a thousand questions simultaneously in the king's court. After that till date no one has mentioned about organizing such a program in so many years.
