Gandhinagar News: Giving information to the press-media about the very important decision taken by the Gujarat government for small entrepreneurs, Energy Minister Kanubhai Desai said that the state government has responded positively to the various representations made by various industrial associations and organizations of the state and took a beneficial decision. Necessary changes have been made in the 'Power Supply Code-2015' by the Gujarat Power Regulatory Commission under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
Elaborating further, he said that earlier the power limit for low-tension category connection was 100 kW, which has now been increased to 150 kW. With this decision, consumers willing to take connection up to 150 kW load will now be able to opt for low-tension supply. This important decision will increase industrial production, leading to economic growth and creation of new jobs. It will also support the development of EV charging infrastructure.
It is worth mentioning here that various representations were made by various industrial organizations and institutions of the state to the state government to accommodate the increasing electricity demand, establish power resources and increase the maximum load limit of low-pressure line and high-pressure line connections. This important decision has been taken by GERC, to which the state government has responded positively.
