Varanasi, 04 November (HS). The idol of Maa Kali of Navsangh Club located in Devnathpura was immersed in Mandakini Kund located in Maidagin Company Bagh on Monday evening amidst tight security. Before the immersion yatra, after duly worshiping the idol of Maa Kali in the pandal of Navsangh located in Devnathpura, the women of Bang community performed the ritual of vermilion khela. After this, a traditional immersion procession was taken out.
The procession reached the main road with cheers amid tight security in the narrow streets. When the statue arrived on Pandey Haveli main road, the force remained ready till Godaulia intersection. Security arrangements were strengthened while the procession passed through the highly sensitive area of Madanpura amid the beats of drums. The statue kept passing through the prescribed route and people kept showering flowers on it. Bang devotees also kept dancing to the beats of Dhak. The immersion procession passed through Madanpura, Jangambari and reached Godaulia intersection. Where the vehicle carrying the idol of Maa Kali took seven rounds at the intersection. After this, the procession slowly reached Company Bagh in Maidagin via Bansfatak, Bulanala. After the Aarti, the idol of Maa Kali was immersed here.
