‘I’m his friend, I don’t take orders from anyone,’ Maloney clarifies on his relationship with Musk

Rome: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney clarified the questions raised about her relationship with billionaire Elon Musk and told MPs, ‘I am his friend and do not take orders from him. His relationship with Musk is related to the economic interests of the country.

It is noteworthy that after assuming the post of Prime Minister in 2022, Meloni Cattle has met Tesla and Space-X founder Elon Musk. He says that his objective behind this is to attract investment in Italy.

Italy recently passed a bill allowing foreign aerospace companies to operate in Italy. The move is expected to bring some 7.3 billion euros – or $7.7 billion – of investment to Italy by 2026.

“I can be a friend of Elon Musk and also be the head (prime minister) of the Italian government,” Maloney said, answering questions during a traditional parliamentary debate before heading to the EU summit in Brussels. “I am the first prominent person who has made the first law to give direction to the country’s space activities (change in ashes).”
