Illegal arms factory busted, three arrested including father and son

Mahoba, 2 April (Hindustan Reporter) Before the Lok Sabha elections, the police busted an illegal arms factory and arrested three accused, recovered a huge quantity of arms making equipment including 10 finished and semi-finished illegal pistol cartridges from their possession and sent all three accused to jail.

Giving information, Superintendent of Police Aparna Gupta said that action is being taken against criminals under the policy of zero tolerance to conduct the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in a peaceful, fear-free environment and to prevent crime.

On receiving information about illegal arms factory being operated, the police team under the leadership of Sadar Kotwali in-charge Inspector Narendra Pratap Singh raided the illegally operated arms factory in Barat Pahadi village. From where three accused including father and son were arrested. 10 manufactured and semi-finished illegal weapons along with cartridges and equipment for making illegal weapons have been recovered from their possession. A case has been registered against the three accused under the Arms Act and they have been sent to jail.

The arrested accused include 58-year-old Brijgopal son of Shivdayal Lodhi and his 26-year-old son Santosh Lodhi, resident of village Sagunia Maaf village of Ajnar police station area of ​​Mahoba district and 50-year-old Raju Vishwakarma son of Hariya Vishwakarma, resident of village Kulhanda of Majhgawan police station area of ​​Hamirpur district. Accused Brijgopal and Raju Vishwakarma already have a criminal history in which cases have been registered against both of them under the Arms Act and action has also been taken against Raju Vishwakarma under the Gangster Act.

Sadar Area Officer Deepak Dubey said that the three arrested accused are vicious criminals. During interrogation he told that the demand for illegal pistols has increased as the time of Lok Sabha elections is approaching. Due to which we were secretly manufacturing illegal weapons in a hut built in a deserted place during the day and night. Due to which people did not know about our criminal activities. After making scriptures and selling them at good prices during elections, they make and sell illegal weapons with the intention of earning huge money and spreading fear in the area.
