IIHMR University launches Centre for Behavioral Sciences in partnership with UNICEF

Jaipur, July 17 (HS). IIHMR University, a pioneer in research related to health management, has achieved a significant milestone by starting the 'Center for Behavioral Sciences (CBS)' in its campus in collaboration with UNICEF. Through this center, IIHMR University will work towards making large-scale public programs more effective through evidence and stakeholder-centered solutions.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Centre for Behavioral Sciences, IIHMR University President Dr. P.R. Sodani said that by launching the Centre for Behavioral Sciences, IIHMR University has achieved a significant milestone in promoting authentic and evidence-based research for policy planning and program management. It will work closely with the central government, non-governmental organizations and development partners and thus take important steps towards improving health outcomes in the state.

UNICEF Rajasthan Chief Rishabh Hemani said that we believe that this important partnership with IIHMR University will provide a new vision for a better future. We believe that behavioral science actually provides a deeper vision in terms of human behavior, which helps us to constantly develop more effective strategies to deal with social issues. On this occasion, the logo of the Center for Behavioral Sciences was also unveiled. IIHMR University President Dr. P.R. Sodani, Director (RCH) of Rajasthan Government Dr. SS Ranawat, UNICEF Officer Chief SBC Dennis Larson, UNICEF Chief Nutrition Sylvie Chamois and UNICEF Rajasthan Chief Rishabh Hemani jointly released the logo.

Under the aegis of this centre, IIHMR University and UNICEF will jointly contribute towards better policy making, programme planning and implementation to enable effective change. UNICEF Chief SBC Dennis Larsen emphasised the importance of this collaboration and said that this centre established to better understand people's behaviour is an important contribution towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and in this sense, it is a remarkable achievement.
