Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev: The Madras High Court has taken a tough stance on spiritual preacher Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. During the hearing of a case, the court asked that you have married your daughter and she is living a worldly life, then why do you force other women to live an ascetic life by shaving their heads?

What is the matter?

S Kamaraj, a retired professor at the Agricultural University of Coimbatore, filed a petition in the High Court during the hearing of a Habeas Corpus (habeas reform) petition. In this petition, she raised questions and said, 'We want to know that you (Sadhguru) have married your daughter and she is living a happy worldly life, then why do you encourage other women to shave their heads and live an ascetic life. Are? , do you give

The petitioner claimed that my two highly educated daughters have been brainwashed and kept in the yoga center of Isha Foundation. The applicant said, 'My daughters are 42 and 39 years old. My elder daughter has done M.Tech degree from UK and used to earn Rs 1 lakh per month. In 2007, she married a British man, but they divorced in 2008. After this he started participating in the yoga center of Isha Foundation. Seeing him, my younger daughter also started staying in the Yoga Centre.

The petitioner further said, 'Ever since our daughters left us, life for me and my wife has become hell.' The petitioner also alleged that, 'Some kind of food or medicine was being given to our daughters in the Yoga Centre, due to which my daughters have lost their power of thinking and understanding.'

Isha Foundation accused of brainwashing

In this matter, Madras High Court talked to these two daughters. During this, both these daughters said, 'We have joined this yoga center on our own will.'

During the conversation, Madras High Court asked these daughters, 'You are talking about walking on the path of spirituality. So isn't it a sin to ignore your parents? The essence of bhakti is to love everyone and hate no one, but we see a lot of hatred in you towards your family. You are not even talking to your parents respectfully.

However, in this case Justice S.M. A bench of Justices Subramaniam and V. Sivagnanam said, 'Complete justice is expected from the court while exercising writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution. Therefore this matter should be investigated in depth.

Apart from this, Justice Sivaganam expressed doubt and said, 'We want to know how the person who has married his daughter and settled her in a good life, how can the same person encourage other people's daughters to live an ascetic life by getting them tonsured. Can do. Head. Is?'

Answering this question, the lawyer of Isha Foundation said, 'Every adult has the right to choose his life. Therefore, I am not able to understand the doubts of this petitioner. In response, the court said, 'You are fighting this case on behalf of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, so you cannot understand this. But this court is neither for anyone nor against anyone.
