Bhopal, 21 November (HS). 155th anniversary of Dr. Harisingh Gaur. Sagar district is celebrating “Gaur Utsav” on the birth anniversary. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel participated in the cultural program organized on this occasion on Thursday. He said that if you want your fame to last for generations then prepare a temple of education and complete it as a resolution. He said that once a resolution is made, there is no room for options.
He said that the new generation should understand the power of determination, the power of dedication towards an idea. Whatever resolution we take in life, we should never accept alternatives. The life of Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gaur is also an embodiment of great resolutions. We all should be grateful to him. Multifaceted personalities like Dr. Harisingh Gaur not only act as a source of inspiration in our lives but also point towards social concern and their responsibility towards the society.
Minister Patel said that Dr. Gaur Saheb was an advocate, writer, educationist, social reformer, philanthropist and a personality who could foresee the future circumstances. Even after 75 years of independence, we can feel that the courses and facilities that are available in Sagar Central University are not found even in other big universities of the country, it is a matter of pride for us.
Recalling the fact that Dr. Harisingh Gaur University got the central status, he said that initially he could not understand that the original intention of Dr. Harisingh Gaur would be affected by becoming a central university. Dr. Gaur’s intention was that the poor, illiterate people of Bundelkhand should get resources. But when the decision to build a government university in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh revived the original spirit of Dr. Gaur. Rani Avanti Bai University will prove to be a boon for the entire Bundelkhand region including Sagar and will be helpful in fulfilling the dreams of Dr. Gaur. During this, Minister Patel, remembering the teachings of his Guru, said that the irrefutable principle of era change is fundamental reform and correction of mistakes. Which he adopted in his life and could face many difficult situations easily.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Neelima Gupta, District Panchayat President Heera Singh Rajput along with public representatives, officers, employees, college principals, teachers, students were present.
