IRCTC iPay Feature: When we book a train ticket, money gets deducted even if the ticket is not confirmed. But to solve this problem, IRCTC has introduced iPay Auto Pay feature which will be useful for you. So let's know what this new feature is…….
There are two types of travel in Indian Railways. One is reserved and the other is unreserved. In reserved travel, the seat is already booked and you can travel on the booked seat. While travelling unreservedly, you can go to the station and take a general ticket and sit on any seat in the general compartment. Long journey in general coaches is difficult. That is why people make reservations in advance while travelling. So that they do not have to face trouble during the journey. But sometimes it becomes difficult to get a reservation. Many times you do not get a confirmed seat at the time of booking. And if the ticket is booked again, money is deducted both times. Many people do not have enough money in their account while booking the ticket. For this, IRCTC has come up with a new feature. In which money will be deducted only when your ticket is confirmed.
IRCTC auto payment facility
When we book a ticket, sometimes if the seat is not available, the ticket shows waiting and the ticket is not confirmed. And the money is deducted from the account. Now the railways has introduced a new convenient feature to solve this problem. When the passengers book the ticket. Then if the ticket is confirmed, the money will be deducted from their account.
The name of this new feature is iPay Auto Pay. You can use the iPay facility through the IRCTC app or IRCTC website. If you book a ticket through this, money will not be deducted from your account immediately. Instead, your ticket amount will be blocked/held from your account. Money will be deducted from the account only when your ticket is confirmed.
Refunds are also easily available
If you book a ticket through this facility and if your ticket gets cancelled, you don't have to wait to get a refund. The block on the account linked to iPay will be removed immediately.
