Many people like Halwa. It is made in many ways and each of its varieties is liked a lot. You might have tasted halwa made from wheat flour, semolina, carrot or moong dal, but today we will tell you the recipe of making Banarasi halwa from pumpkin. Let us know how you can make it.

Material:

Pumpkin – 2 cups

Sugar – 3/4 cup

Desi Ghee – 1/2 cup

Khoya – 3/4 cup

Milk – 3 cups

Almonds- 14-15

Cashews – 14-15

Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

recipe:

– First of all, take the pumpkin, cut it, take out the soft pulp and then remove the upper peel.

Cut the pumpkin into pieces, put it in a blender and make a smooth paste.

Finely chop almonds and cashews separately. Keep them aside. – Now take a pan, add milk in it and keep it on medium flame.

To prevent the milk from sticking, keep stirring it with a spoon while heating it.

– When the milk boils, add prepared pumpkin paste to it and mix well. Be careful and stir constantly to prevent the pumpkin paste from sticking to the pan.

When the mixture becomes thick, turn off the flame. Be careful not to let it stick.

– Heat ghee in another pan on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add chopped dry fruits to it and fry until it turns golden. Take them out and keep them aside.

– Add ghee in the same pan and add khoya and fry it. – After some time add sugar and continue cooking.

After cooking for 1-2 minutes, reduce the flame and add the thick pumpkin-milk mixture. Stir well to combine.

Let the halwa cook until it thickens. Then slow down the flame and add fried dry fruits and cardamom powder and mix well.

Your Banarasi Halwa is ready. – Take it out in a bowl and garnish it with dry fruits and serve.
