If you are using AC even in monsoon then be careful, otherwise…

In summers where the temperature remains above 45 degrees, it becomes difficult to live without AC. But as soon as the monsoon starts, the humidity in the air and the rain cools the air, but there is also a problem. Because there is more rainfall in the monsoon. In such a situation, if you also reduce the temperature of the AC for cooling, then it feels cold and if you increase it, then it feels hot.

However, this situation is seen in every city. Especially in a city like Ahmedabad where there is less rainfall, there is a lot of wind. In such a situation, it is important to keep some things in mind, so that you can get relief from the heat. Let us know what things should be kept in mind while using AC in monsoon.

Keep the outdoor unit of the AC clean

If you have a window AC then the problem will be less. But if you are using a split AC then there can be a problem. The outdoor unit of the split AC is outside and rainwater can enter it. Therefore, it is important to take special care that the outdoor unit of the AC remains clean. There is no waste in it. Apart from this, there is a drain hole in the AC, from where water comes out. During the rain, garbage can accumulate in this drain hole, due to which water can leak inside the AC. Therefore, you also need to keep the drain hole clean.

Which AC mode will you keep?

You also have to keep in mind which mode of AC you should use in monsoon. If you are feeling very hot and you have to run the AC, then you should run the AC only on fan mode. In this mode, the AC compressor does not run, so the water from outside does not enter the AC. Also, the AC should be protected from water. Never keep water on the AC. If the AC gets wet, keep it clean.

Get service done from time to time

It is necessary to get the AC serviced regularly before using it in the rain. Servicing from time to time keeps the AC working properly. Apart from this, if water enters the AC, turn off the AC immediately. Call an electrician and get the AC opened and checked. Do not repair it yourself. If you keep these things in mind, the AC will be saved from getting damaged during monsoon.
