If women are self-reliant then the society will automatically become strong: Keshav Prasad Maurya

Lucknow, 16 February (HS). Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the villages of Uttar Pradesh are improving. The new Uttar Pradesh of new India is emerging. The Deputy Chief Minister said this during a review meeting of development works with senior departmental officials at the camp office on Friday.

He said that the government is working with full sensitivity to make half of the population (women) empowered, strong, self-reliant and self-reliant. There has been prosperity in the lives of women through self-help groups. Said that effective efforts should be made to increase the quality of the products of the groups, to provide them with appropriate platforms for their sale and efforts should also be made for certification of the products of their groups. He said that if women become self-reliant, the entire society will automatically become empowered and strong.

He directed that information should be kept updated on the website of the Rural Development Department. The achievements of the Rural Development Department should be highlighted. Reports should be kept updated on the prescribed points of the department in the CM Dash Board.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has instructed the senior officials of the Rural Development Department to ensure timely utilization of the budget of the Rural Development Department. Continuous review and monitoring should be done. Regular inspections should be conducted to check the ground reality of development works and effective action should be ensured based on the reports received.

He said that development work should be clearly visible on the ground. Instructed to motivate all the employees, groups and beneficiaries of Rural Development Department to download NaMo App. The achievements of the Rural Development Department should be highlighted.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that weekly and fortnightly progress reports of departmental work should be made available on time and responsibility for this should be fixed. Reports should be kept updated on the prescribed points of the department in the CM Dash Board. He directed that action should be taken to make timely payment of MNREGA, the amount to be brought from the Government of India should be received through effective lobbying and through timely correspondence. MNREGA workers must be paid on time. Instructions were given that action should be taken to provide benefits of Vishwakarma Scheme to MNREGA workers as per rules.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya directed that the roads of PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana) should be built 100 percent on FDR technology and said that preparations should be made that in future only the Rural Engineering Department will build the roads of PMGSY, for this which Necessary formalities need to be completed soon. Instructions were also given that regular checking of PMGSY roads should be done.

He also directed that a meeting of contractors working with FDR technology should be called. The Deputy Chief Minister has said that the money being saved by adopting FDR technology can be spent on beautification of roads etc. For example, wherever appropriate on the roadside, seats for pedestrians, passengers etc. can be provided, urinals, junction improvement, tree plantation, tee-guard etc. can be done, make a plan for this. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, contractors and experts from other states should also be called and discussed in detail. A broad message about the benefits of FDR technology should be given to the society.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that many blocks are located in urban areas, a committee should be formed to study the usefulness of the employees and officers there and the committee should give suggestions for using them at other places. Similarly, there is a lot of demand for construction of new blocks, for this also a committee should be formed and the need and utility of the new block should be studied and the committee should give its report. Action should be taken to upload the data of all the beneficiaries of Housing, MNREGA, SRLM on the departmental website. Wherever there is a programme, the bank drop should be made bigger and the schemes and achievements of the department should be reflected on it.
