'If this does not happen, we will become slaves again…' Why did Congress President Kharge have to say this?

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: On Wednesday, a joint press conference of India Alliance was held in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. National President of Congress Mallikarjun Kharge and President of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav addressed the press conference. During this, Kharge emphasized on saving the democracy and constitution of the country.

He said that in my 53 years of career, I have never seen such parties contesting elections together. 26 parties are contesting the elections together. Imagine how angry people are with the government. This election is important because it is an election to save the future of this country. This is a choice to protect our future generations and protect our rights. This election is an election to protect the reservation of weaker sections of the society and it is our duty because if the Constitution survives, this right will also survive.

Kharge said that we all should together save the future of the country, democracy and the Constitution. If this does not happen then we will become slaves for the second time. If there is no democracy, there is dictatorship then where will we vote for our ideology.

He said that BJP people are stopping opposition leaders from filing nomination papers. Our polling agents are also being intimidated. I saw in Hyderabad that a female BJP candidate was revealing her identity by removing the veil of Muslim women. In such a situation, what is the choice? Elections are conducted by intimidating people but still we are fighting. Moving forward as one. Our report says that in these four phases of elections, our alliance is ahead and BJP is behind.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said that the fourth phase of elections is over. BJP's lies have climbed as many mountains as they had to climb and are now starting to descend. BJP is trapped in its own false claims.

Akhilesh said that even if BJP crosses 400, it will not get even 140 seats. BJP is losing by 2.5 lakh votes in each Lok Sabha constituency. Public support towards India Alliance is visible among the people, in the coming time 140 crore people will defeat them on 140 seats.
