Islamabad: S Jaishankar in Pakistan: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar addressed the SCO summit. Jaishankar said, terrorism, separatism and extremism have to be avoided. In the conference, without taking the name of Pakistan, the Foreign Minister scolded Pakistan about terrorism. Jaishankar said that trust is necessary for a better relationship. If there is no trust then there is nothing.
China was also targeted
Apart from Pakistan, Jaishankar also contacted China. Jaishankar said cooperation among SCO member countries should be based on mutual respect and sovereign equality. It is important that all countries recognize territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Genuine partnerships must be built and not the country pursuing a one-sided agenda. The Foreign Minister also pointed towards CPEC without taking its name. Jaishankar said that if we continue the world's selective practice, especially for trade and trade routes, the progress of the SCO will not be possible.
Foreign Minister met PM Shahbaz before the meeting
He reached Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad at 10.30 am on Wednesday. Here he was welcomed by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
The SCO meeting has started at 11 am. In this the trade and economic agenda of SCO will be discussed. The meeting will be followed by lunch at 2:30 pm. Jaishankar will leave for India from Pakistan at 4 pm.
