In such a situation, passengers have the right to get a ticket refund if the train is delayed by 3 hours or more. Today we will tell you about the rules related to Indian Railways train ticket refund.

Indian Railway Terms and Conditions

If the train you are going to travel in is delayed by more than 3 hours, you can easily claim a refund. However, this facility is not available for passengers with confirmed Tatkal tickets. This means that if you have a confirmed Tatkal ticket, you cannot claim a refund for it.

To claim refund, passengers have to submit the ticket deposit receipt. You can file TDR by visiting the official website of IRCTC. Apart from this, you can also claim refund offline i.e. by visiting the ticket counter. According to the rules of Indian Railways, the refund amount will be credited to your bank account within 90 days of filing TDR.

TDR Filing Process Online

First of all go to the official website of IRCTC and log in with the help of user ID and password.

Now you have to send a claim request. Once the request is accepted, you will get a refund within a few days.

Let us tell you that the refund of the ticket will come from the same bank account from which the ticket has been booked. When surrendering the ticket offline, you will have to provide the bank account details.
