If someone becomes a doctor by cheating in NEET, it will create a big danger in society

New Delhi: As soon as the results of NEET UG 2024 were declared, there were complaints of large-scale irregularities, paper leaks etc. For two weeks, students have created a ruckus on this issue and have filed a flurry of petitions in the Supreme Court against NEET. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard the petitions demanding cancellation of NEET and re-conducting of the exam. During this, the Supreme Court said that if there is even 0.001 percent possibility of irregularities in NEET, then accept it and take appropriate action in this regard.

The vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhatti said that the hard work of medical students to prepare for one of the toughest entrance examinations in the country cannot be ignored. The students have prepared for the exam. We cannot forget their hard work. If there is even 0.01 percent negligence in the examination, then accept it and take appropriate action at the right time to instill confidence in the students.

The vacation bench told NTA that the Supreme Court expects appropriate action from them. Imagine if a person who cheats the system becomes a doctor, it will be more harmful for the society. This case will also be heard on July 8 along with other pending applications related to NEET. Along with this, the Supreme Court has sent a notice to NTA and the Center and postponed the case till July 8. After the holidays are over, the Supreme Court will hear all the applications related to NEET together on this day.

Regarding the hearing in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, lawyer Dinesh Jotwani said that we presented our case in the court on behalf of NV Sir's institution. More than 20,000 students have joined this application. We raised many issues before the court, including controversial question marks such as there were two answers to one question.

The petition seeking a CBI probe into allegations of rigging in NEET-UG 2024 will be heard on July 8. The Supreme Court has issued notice to the Central Government, NTA and others on petitions alleging irregularities in the controversial NEET-UG exam and asked them to respond within two weeks. Apart from this, the Supreme Court on Friday also issued notice to private parties on the NTA's plea to transfer the petitions pending in various high courts on the NEET-UG dispute to the Supreme Court. All these cases will be heard together in the Supreme Court on July 8.

In view of the allegations being made against NEET, it will be a big challenge for education to save the credibility of the exam conducting body NTA and to remove the doubts raised about the integrity of NEET and other exams. Apart from this, they will also have to show commitment to continue reforms under the new education policy.
