Koderma, September 24 (HS). National Nutrition Month is being celebrated across the country with the resolution of malnutrition free India. Under this, a special program was organized by the District Administration Koderma under National Nutrition Month 2024 at Balrotand Model Anganwadi Center in Koderma on Tuesday, where Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi attended as the chief guest. Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi and other guests inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

The program started with the welcome speech by District Social Welfare Officer Nitish Kumar Nishant. Minister Annapurna Devi said that National Nutrition Month is being celebrated across the country from 1st September to 30th September. Under this program, which runs for one month every year, special care is taken of the nutrition of lactating women and children. The main objective of the program is to make children malnutrition free. If our children are healthy, our country will be healthy. We have to keep our children healthy. She said that information on proper nutrition is given to children and pregnant women through Anganwadi centers.

Run public awareness for proper nutrition. During the program, street play was performed in front of Minister Annapurna Devi by the workers of various Anganwadi centers and the message of counseling along with services was given. Union Minister Annapurna Devi honored 11 workers and assistants who showed excellent performance in providing inclusive education to children at Anganwadi centers by giving them certificates. At the same time 3 beneficiaries were honored by giving them certificates of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. Girl students who showed excellent performance in 10th and 12th were given cheques of Rs. 5000 each. Besides this, the ritual of feeding the newborn babies and Godh Bharai for pregnant women were performed during the program.
