If he had not been stubborn, this time India could have formed a coalition government

The results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 have come and the exit polls are not yet visible. BJP is not in a position to form the government on its own, although the NDA has got a clear majority. The NDA alliance has reached 292 seats while the India Alliance has got 234 seats. 17 seats have gone to the account of others. Even today one thing seems to be true in Bihar that the party in which Nitish Kumar is, that party has a lot of influence. If the India Alliance had taken him under its control, then perhaps he would have been in a position to form the government at the Center today.

It was on 23 June 2023 when the first meeting of the India Alliance was to be held in Patna. The leader of this meeting of the opposition alliance was Bihar Chief Minister and JDU President Nitish Kumar. He traveled to different states and united many opposition leaders. Then it seemed that the opposition parties would unite and challenge Narendra Modi under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. But what happened was that the India Alliance could not handle them and suddenly Nitish Kumar left the India Alliance and joined the NDA. It is being said that Nitish Kumar was angry with Rahul Gandhi's attitude.

The India Alliance meeting was held in Bengaluru on 17-18 July 2023 and then in Mumbai from 31 August to 1 September. During this time, many issues were discussed but no concrete result came out. Nitish Kumar was angry with this slow pace of the alliance. He said that if there is a positive dialogue on all the issues in time, then we will be able to take our agenda to the public. Even then Nitish Kumar was claiming that if we fight the elections properly, then BJP will not be able to cross the 200 seat mark.

Nitish brought several parties together.
Except Naveen Patnaik of BJD in Odisha and Chandrashekhar of BRS in Telangana, almost all the parties with whom Nitish Kumar held talks joined the Bharat Alliance. Be it Mamata Banerjee's party TMC or Arvind Kejriwal whose party did not even want to join the UPA alliance before AAP joined Bharat Alliance. Nitish encouraged everyone in one voice. But the Congress-led alliance could not keep them together. Due to the attitude of the Congress, some decisions were not taken on time, which led to this.

After two-three rounds of meetings of India Alliance, the results of assembly elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were declared. Congress, which was fighting alone in three states, did not take support of any party of India Alliance during this period. That is, when SP proposed alliance in MP, Congress rejected it. At that time Congress felt that it does not need anyone in these three states and it can form the government on its own. Congress also felt that after victory in these areas, its dominance over India Alliance will increase and it will be able to take decisions within the alliance according to its own will. Nitish Kumar got upset with this attitude of Congress and said goodbye to Tata India Alliance. JDU sources said that all the decisions of the alliance were taken by Rahul Gandhi and due to his attitude, consensus could not be reached on many issues in the meeting.

Dissatisfied Nitish
Just before the elections, Nitish Kumar left the All India Alliance and joined the NDA. At that time, his decision was being criticized a lot. It was also said that the one who united all the parties, who opposed the government and Narendra Modi, has today gone and sat in the lap of the NDA. After changing alliances several times in Bihar, Nitish Kumar's joining the BJP before the Lok Sabha elections started increasing Nitish Kumar's reputation.

It is said that Nitish Kumar never dabbles in politics. Perhaps this is the reason why Nitish Kumar has been the Chief Minister of Bihar for the last 19 years. Nitish Kumar is a very experienced leader, he has seen many ups and downs in his long political career. In this way, he understands which game to play, when, how and where.

If Nitish was there then the government would have been formed
Before the elections, BJP contacted JDU or JDU contacted BJP… this has been discussed but today Nitish Kumar has once again proved that if there is anyone in Bihar, it is Nitish Kumar. Even today it can be seen in Bihar that the party in which Nitish Kumar is a part has an upper hand. If the Bharat Gathbandhan had brought him under its control, then perhaps he would have been in a position to form the government at the center today. Now Congress and Rahul Gandhi must have also understood this.
