Wrongly transferred money can be recovered

We use Gpay, PhonePe and Paytm for digital transactions. Actually these are third party apps. In such a situation, they are not directly responsible for the money being transferred to the wrong account. These apps help in making payments based on UPI linked to your bank account. In such a situation, the question still remains that if you transfer money by mistake, is there any way to get it back or not? Let us tell you that the money transferred to the wrong account can be recovered. For this, the guidelines of the Reserve Bank have to be followed.

How to complain on Google Pay

First of all open the Google Pay app. And then click on “Help and Feedback”. After this you have to choose the option of “Refund” or “Wrong Payment”, then you have to give full details of your situation and the required information.

Contact the bank

If you send money by mistake, contact your bank first. You can report the error to the bank by mail. Banks often act promptly on such complaints and recover the money by contacting the person concerned. If the mail does not work, you will have to visit a branch. You will also have to submit some documents.

What is the RBI rule?

According to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India, if money has been transferred to a wrong account, you should immediately complain to the bank. By doing this, you can get a refund from the bank within 7 to 15 days. According to the rules, if someone spends the money sent by you or transfers it to another account, then in such a situation also you will be refunded.
