How to check adulteration in milk: Milk is an important part of our diet and most households have milk every day. Some people order packaged milk while some buy cow or buffalo milk, but do you know that nowadays the business of fake and adulterated milk is increasing, which is very harmful.
So today we are going to tell you some tips, following which you can identify fake and adulterated milk at home within minutes.
identify by taste
The taste of real milk will be slightly sweet. You should smell the milk, if the milk smells sweet then it is pure and if it smells like soap or detergent then you should understand that it has been adulterated.
Identify by colour
Real milk is milky in colour and remains milky and white even after boiling and storage. On the other hand, fake and adulterated milk starts turning yellow within a few hours of storage. Even if it is boiled and stored, its milky colour will change to yellow. Actually, the yellowness in milk is due to urea, which is added to thicken it, which is dangerous for health.
Identify by drops
You put one or two drops of milk on a black surface. The milk will come down and leave a line. If it forms a thick white line then the milk is real and pure and if the line becomes transparent then understand that water has been mixed in the milk.
Identify by foam –
Put a little milk i.e. one spoon in a glass bottle and shake it vigorously. If foam forms in the milk and settles down after some time, it means that detergent has been mixed in the milk. If no foam forms in the milk, it can be considered pure.
