Shimla, 02 December (HS). District Magistrate Shimla Anupam Kashyap on Monday issued an important order in view of the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023. Under this, no employer, contractor or businessman will employ any migrant laborer coming to Shimla district in small non-formal job or service or contract labour, unless such migrant laborer goes to the concerned station house officer and produces a passport size passport. Do not submit your details with photos.
According to the orders, no person visiting Shimla district will engage in any kind of self-employment, non-formal business, services or search for employment without informing the concerned police station in-charge. Punitive action will be taken against such violating migrant laborers and their employers under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code, 2023.
He said that this order will come into effect immediately and will remain in effect for the next two months.
