IAS Shailbala Martin's remarks create uproar

Chandrashekhar Tiwari, president of Hindu organization Sanskriti Bachao Manch, did not like the posting of the IAS officer and said that he would protest against the officer. Aarti and mantras are chanted in melodious voices in temples. Like Azaan, it is not said 5 times on loudspeaker. He also asked the IAS officer whether anyone had seen stone pelting during the Muharram procession.

Stones are being pelted at Hindu processions, no one has the right to hurt the sentiments of Hindu religion. Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Abbas Hafeez said that IAS officer Shailbala Martin has raised the right questions. Supporting the officer, he said that the action against the BJP government is politically motivated.

Who is Shailbala Martin?

Shailbala Martin, resident of Madhya Pradesh, was born on 9 April 1965. According to the state government website, he started his career in the state civil service before being promoted to the IAS on 12 June 2017. After completing BA and MA in Arts from Holkar Science College, Indore, Martin joined the state civil service in 2009. Throughout his career, Martin has held several positions in the health department, including Municipal Commissioner of Burhanpur in 2014 and Collector of Niwari district that year. He is working as Additional Secretary in GAD Department from 25 January 2022.
