I will not abandon religion for the sake of money, if war breaks out I will even use bombs: CM Yogi

Varanasi, 14 October. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the aim of a monk’s life should be that he will not abandon his religion for the sake of money and if a war breaks out, he will also throw bombs and shells. Whatever sacrifice is made for the country and religion, it will be great and we have to work with that greatness in mind, we have to dedicate ourselves to that greatness. The Chief Minister was addressing the centenary celebrations of the Kashi branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangh in Varanasi on Wednesday. Praising the nationalist ideology and service tradition of the Sangh, he said that Bharat Sevashram Sangh never compromised on its values and principles in even and odd circumstances. This organization kept nationalism as the aim of life, made national progress the medium of self-progress and made national progress the medium of self-promotion.

The Chief Minister said that exactly 100 years ago, in this same Kashi, a great nationalist seeker, Pujya Swami Pranavanand Ji Maharaj, had launched the Kashi branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangh in 1926. This country was a slave, Swami Pranavanand Ji Maharaj used to go to different corners of the country and awaken the flame of India’s independence and by taking this great vow of Hindu awakening in his hands, he contributed in making India a great India and fulfilling the concepts of independent India. Today this organization is effectively registering its presence not only in India but in many countries of the world with the eternal values and sage tradition of India.

It is also important to protect the nation’s heritage, religion and culture.

The Chief Minister said that when a nation is in crisis, its heritage, its spiritual heritage, its historical heritage, its values, its religion and culture, all these also come under threat. Referring to Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Ram Janmabhoomi and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, he said that if the foreign invaders had not succeeded, would anyone have the audacity to desecrate and damage the holy temple of Baba Vishwanath in Kashi? Would the stigma of slavery have stood on the Ram Janmabhoomi for 500 years? Would the stigma of slavery remain on the holy birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna in Mathura? Never happens. He said that this is the same sin that you had committed by dividing, and to correct the same sin, these saints, in different forms and in different periods of time, had made that Mahajagran campaign a part of their spiritual practice, in which Swami Pranavanand ji also carried forward the same spiritual practice.

Swami Pranavanand ji had reached Gorakhpur in search of a Guru at the age of 12-13.

Referring to the life of Swami Pranavanand Ji Maharaj, the Chief Minister said that it is my good fortune that the place where Swami Pranavanand Ji took initiation in 1912-13 is Gorakshpeeth of Gorakhpur. He meditated under the guidance of Baba Gambhirnath Ji, the Siddha Yogi of that time and stayed in Gorakhpur for a long time.
Chief Minister Yogi told that the holy birthplace of Swamiji is near Mymensingh city of today’s Bangladesh. During his schooling, a student of sixth-seventh class suddenly tells his teacher one day that he has to go to Gorakhpur, his teacher has called him. He told that the student named Vinod comes to Gorakhpur in search of his teacher. On reaching in front of Siddha Yogi Baba Gambhirnath Ji, Baba said that he is a Yogi by birth, he is Siddha. The Chief Minister told that as soon as he sat in front of Baba in his sadhana, he had three hours of uninterrupted samadhi. After Gorakhpur, Kashi, and after Kashi, then across the country, Swami Pranavanand ji made this spiritual practice a medium for national awakening. It became a medium not only for self-improvement but also for national progress.

We have to be prepared not only for carrying weapons, but also for national defense.

The Chief Minister said that in the tradition of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, worship is not done only with incense and lamps, Mother Goddess Bhagwati, the mother of the world, is also worshiped with weapons. He said that these weapons are not just for wearing, they are also an object of worship and we have to be ready to wear them whenever the need arises to protect the nation. He said that Swami Pranavanand ji had taken this campaign forward in his time. Today Bharat Sevashram Sangh is providing its services in different areas of the country. The Chief Minister said that he felt good that Bharat Sevashram Sangh has not deviated from those values even today.

The government which was threatening the monks in West Bengal, went away.

Referring to West Bengal, the Chief Minister said that when an anti-Hindu (Mamata) government in Bengal started threatening the sannyasis of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, I said that now this government is gone, it should never come again, because now it is bullying like Ravana, bullying like Kansa, threatening the sannyasis, which means now that government is gone. Praising the monks of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, he said that even in these circumstances they did not get distracted.

While sharing the experience of his stay in Bengal, the Chief Minister said that some Sannyasi of the Sangh would definitely come to meet him in the meetings there. Earlier he used to stay away from the stage, but on his request he used to come on the stage also. The Chief Minister said that when he asked the monks whether there was any fear, their answer was, no, what kind of fear? What have you brought, what will you take with you? Will die for country and religion, will live for country and religion. The Chief Minister said that this is the same spirit which has made India India in adverse circumstances. If this passion was not there, would Kashi Vishwanath Dham have been constructed under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi ji? Would the stigma of Ayodhya have been removed and a grand Ram temple could have been built after 500 years? Never.

Sewing machines to 100 poor girls, efforts to make 100 families self-reliant

Praising the public welfare work of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, Chief Minister Yogi said that Bharat Sevashram Sangh is distributing sewing machines to poor girls. Last time I came also, you had given it also. Such donation work is also done in Kumbh and Anna Kshetra is run by Bharat Sevashram Sangh. The Chief Minister said that whenever he sees an ashram of Bharat Sevashram Sangh anywhere in the country, he definitely goes there, because the memory of revered Yogi Baba Gambhirnath ji is associated with it. He said that the Sangh is working towards making 100 families self-reliant. He thanked the Sangh for this. He said that 100 families will become self-reliant through this, and this is the Prime Minister’s concept of self-reliant and developed India.
