Islamabad: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has completed 400 days in jail, said on Sunday that he is ready to spend his entire life in jail but will not compromise on his struggle for real freedom.
His party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a rally in Islamabad on Sunday and demanded the release of the former prime minister from jail.
Imran was arrested on August 5 last year after being convicted in the Toshakhana corruption case filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Since then he has been in jail in various cases. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that there is enough evidence to try Imran in a military court in cases related to the May 9 violence, but Imran is demanding the formation of a judicial commission to investigate.
