I said and he..! A leader's son snatched Hanuma Vihari's captaincy

Andhra cricket team is out of Ranji Trophy 2024. Andhra lost to Madhya Pradesh by 4 runs in the quarter-finals. All-rounder Hanuma Vihari has expressed his pain over Andhra's exit. He had to resign from the captaincy after the first match of the season. Vihari has now broken his silence on this matter. The all-rounder said that he had to lose the captaincy for shouting at a player because his father is a politician. Ricky Bhui was replaced by Andhra for the remainder of the tournament.

Hanuma Vihari made allegations by posting on Insta

Vihari wrote on Instagram, “We fought hard till the end but it did not happen. Disappointed to lose another quarter against Andhra. This post is about some facts I want to put forward. I was the captain in the first match against Bengal. During that game, I shouted at the 17th player and he complained to his father (who is a politician). After this his father asked the association to take action against me. Although we chased 410 against Bengal, the finalists last year, I was asked to step down from the captaincy without making any mistakes.

Accusations made against the association

The all-rounder said, “I never said anything to the player personally, but the association felt that this player was more important than the person who had risked his body last year to bat left-handed for Andhra Pradesh.” 7 years. 5 knockouts and played 16 tests for India. He further said, “I felt embarrassed but the only reason I continued playing this season was because I respect the game and my team. The sad thing is that the association feels that whatever he says, the players have to listen to him because the players are there because of him. I felt humiliated and embarrassed but I did not express it till today.

i lost my self respect

Vihari finally said, 'I have decided that I will never play for Andhra, where I have lost my self-respect. I love the team. I like the way we are improving every season but the association does not want us to improve.” Shortly afterwards, Andhra bowler Prithvi Raj reacted to Hanuma's claim.

Prithvi Raj denied the allegations

Raj wrote on Insta Story, “Hello, I am the same person you are looking for in the comment box. What you heard is a lie. Nothing is bigger than sports and my self-respect is bigger than everything. Personal attacks and abuse are absolutely not acceptable, everyone in the team knows what happened that day.

After Vihari's post surfaced, there are tremendous reactions from cricket fans on social media. Someone said, 'Not only Andhra but the entire Indian cricket is subject to politics', someone said, 'This is the reason why Andhra has not been able to reach the semi-finals till now.'
