I may not be alive tomorrow, but my soul will wander here: Why did R Ashwin say this?

Ravichandran Ashwin has played for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL for a long time while his love for the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai is at a different level. He plays domestic cricket for the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association or TNCA and most of the cricket in the state is played at this ground. The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association's T20 league is also played at the same stadium and whenever Ashwin is free from national duty, he watches all types of cricket games for his state. When the same association honored Ashwin for completing 500 Test wickets and 100 Test matches, Ashwin said that after my death, my soul will keep wandering here.

Ashwin's commitment to Tamil Nadu and its club cricket is such that to this day he makes himself available for domestic events even when he is not on national duty. He said, this place has given me so much that I want to come here again and again. People keep asking why do you want to go back? Ashwin further said, I may not be alive tomorrow, but my soul will keep wandering here. That's what this place means to me.

“I usually don’t find words to express what I feel,” Ashwin said about the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. I am truly humbled and grateful to be here. Ashwin further said about Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid, Anil Bhai and Rahul Bhai said in short that it is very difficult to win the debate with me. This is true because I believe that logic is one of the greatest paths to excellence. There is never any argument with any person. With Saachi Sikh it's always what comes in the end.
