I have no interest in becoming a minister! A big revelation in the case of Gopi who took oath as a minister

First BJP MP from Kerala: 'I did not want to become a minister…' Why does Suresh Gopi, who opened BJP's account in Kerala, want to leave the post of minister? Now a big revelation has happened in this matter.

After the NDA got a majority in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time. Along with him, 71 other ministers also took oath. Suresh Gopi, the first BJP MP from Kerala, also took oath as Minister of State in the Modi government. But before the first meeting of the Union Cabinet to be held on Monday, Suresh Gopi has indicated to leave the post of minister. However, after this news spread, a big revelation was made about Suresh Gopi. Suresh Gopi, the newly appointed BJP MP from Kerala, tweeted that the news going on in some forums that I am going to resign from the cabinet is false, we are committed to the development of Kerala under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The main election issue for Suresh Gopi during the election campaign for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 was 'One Union Minister, Modi's guarantee for Thrissur'. Two BJP candidates from Kerala have been included in the Union Cabinet. Apart from Suresh Gopi, senior party leader George Kurien has also been included in the Union Cabinet as a Minister of State.

Speaking to a Malayalam TV channel in Delhi after the swearing-in ceremony, Suresh Gopi said, “I want to work as an MP. My stand was that I don't want a cabinet berth. I told the party that I only want to work. As an MP, I want to become a minister.

Suresh Gopi wants to continue acting-
Earlier, there were reports that actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi said, “The people of Thrissur know me well. I will do a great job as an MP. I want to continue acting in films. The decision is of the party.” After winning the Lok Sabha elections, Gopi had said that he will not leave the film industry as acting is his passion. He already has several film projects in the pipeline.

Suresh Gopi won the Thrissur Lok Sabha seat by over 74,000 votes. He defeated Communist Party of India leader VS Sunilkumar. Interestingly, senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan finished third in the triangular contest.
