New Delhi, May 20 (Hindustan Reporter) The last league match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, played in Guwahati, was washed out due to rain on Sunday night and hosts Rajasthan Royals and league toppers KKR shared one point each. The rain came just before the scheduled toss and stopped after about three hours.
In the seven-over match, KKR won the toss and decided to field first, but rain came again, due to which the match had to be cancelled. As a result, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) finished second with 17 points and a better net run rate than Rajasthan Royals. They will now face league leaders KKR in Qualifier 1 in Ahmedabad on May 21.
Third-placed Rajasthan will face a confident RCB in the eliminator on May 22 in Ahmedabad.
