Harshita and Pankaj had a court marriage in August last year. After which Harshita’s husband went to UK and after applying for visa she stayed in India. After Pankaj’s return, both of them got married as per Hindu customs and on 30 April she left for London. According to Harshita’s family, after this he started harassing Harshita.
According to reports, Pankaj wanted to buy a house in London and for this he was asking money from Harshita’s family. Harshita’s mother says that before the murder, Harshita had called and said that Pankaj was quarreling with her and she suspected that Pankaj could murder her. A rape case was registered against Pankaj in UK also.
