Husband fell prey to trap in Varanasi, wife jumped from roof in Gorakhpur, unemployment is the reason of death?

Uttar Pradesh suicide case: A shocking case of suicide of a youth fed up with unemployment has come to light in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. In this case, the husband committed suicide by hanging himself in Varanasi, while the wife committed suicide by jumping from the roof in Gorakhpur after hearing the news of her husband's death. The couple who committed suicide loved each other since school days and later got married. After the suicide of the couple, there is mourning in both the families.

According to the police, Harish Bagesh (28), a resident of Patna, and Sanchita Srivastava, a resident of Gorakhpur, studied in the same school. Harish and Sanchita liked each other since Class 11. Later, the two got married. However, both families did not approve of the marriage. After marriage, the couple was living and working in Mumbai but after Sanchita's health deteriorated, her father took her to Gorakhpur where she was undergoing treatment. Harish also left his bank job in Mumbai and came to Gorakhpur.

The family reached the homestay in search of Harish

Two days ago, Harish left Gorakhpur saying he was going to Patna, but he reached Varanasi. He stayed in a homestay in Atal Nagar Colony of Sarnath area. The homestay manager told that on the morning of July 7, some of Harish's relatives reached the homestay looking for him. They said that Harish was not picking up the phone. After this, everyone reached Harish's room. The room was locked from inside. When looked through the window, Harish's throat was strangled.

Sanchita commits suicide by jumping from the roof

Seeing Harish with his throat slit, the family immediately informed the police. Harish was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination. When Sanchita, who lives with her father Ramsharan Srivastava in Gorakhpur, came to know about this, she committed suicide by jumping from the roof. According to Sarnath police, Harish has been identified through his Aadhar card. His father's name is Ramaswami Malviya.

Police did not find any suicide note

The police have taken Harish's body into custody and sent it for postmortem. However, no suicide note was found at the scene. Initial investigation has revealed that Harish was in depression since he lost his job. He was also addicted to alcohol. At present, the police is investigating the case.
