There was a ruckus in Bihar's Purnia district when Delhi Police entered a house to arrest a rape accused. The ruckus increased so much that people took the Delhi Police team hostage. Local police and representatives reached the spot as soon as they got information about the ruckus. After this, the Delhi Police team wrote an apology letter and released them.
Regarding the incident, the victim Soni Devi said that the Delhi Police team had arrived in the city to arrest the rape accused Vicky Thakur. But instead of Vicky Thakur, they entered her husband Krishna Chaudhary's house and forcibly started pulling him out of his bedroom. Krishna Chaudhary's wife Soni Devi said that she was lying on the bed with her husband. Then five Delhi Police personnel entered the room, four of them were in plain clothes and one was in Delhi Police uniform.
They entered her bedroom and forcibly took away her husband Krishna Chaudhary. When she asked the police the reason for taking him away forcibly, the police said that he was accused of rape. When Soni asked for a warrant, the police did not show the documents. Later they told that they had come to arrest Vicky Thakur. After this, the people of Kasba Gudri Bazaar united and took the Delhi Police hostage.
As soon as the information was received, the police of the city police station reached the spot and on the request of local public representative Gopal Yadav, Delhi Police was asked to write an apology. Then they were released. In this regard, Purnia SP Upendranath Verma said that Delhi Police had mistakenly gone to someone else's house. But then with the help of local people, the real accused were caught and handed over to the police. Due to a misunderstanding, Delhi Police was held hostage for some time.
