Hundreds of advocates join BJP

Guwahati, March 03, (HS). On the initiative of the Law Cell of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Guwahati Metropolitan, a lawyers' conference was organized at Padma Bhawan, Ujan Bazaar, Guwahati.

Hundreds of advocates of Guwahati joined BJP today in the presence of State BJP Vice President and Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency candidate Bijli Kalita Medhi. In view of the huge participation of advocates and the advocates' conference, he said that it will further strengthen the BJP in the coming days. Addressing the meeting, State Law Cell convenor Jayant Kumar Goswami said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government and state governments have been abolishing various British era laws since 2014 and are trying to make new laws with the entire Indian thought and spirit. He said that the State Government has achieved success in giving land tenure to the local people of Assam through simplification of the Land Act and has opened a new horizon in the field of women empowerment by abolishing the Muslim Marriage and Registration Act. . More than 300 advocates from Guwahati participated in the meeting, which was presided over by Guwahati Metropolitan BJP District President Tapan Chandra Das and in his address presented the advocates in detail about the history and development journey of BJP.

He beautifully presented the history of sacrifice of the present Bharatiya Janata Party from the days of Jan Sangh to the ideals of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Convenor of Guwahati District Law Cell, Jeevan Jyoti Sharma gave the welcome speech and said that the legal cell of BJP will be strengthened with the participation of advocates.
