A very shameful and tainting khaki incident has come to light from Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh. When a helpless father reached the police station to find his innocent daughter who had been missing for five months, instead of helping him, he was asked for a bribe. The helpless father somehow took the money on interest and put it in the policeman’s bag. When the audio of this entire conversation went viral on social media, there was a stir in the administrative department and the Superintendent of Police immediately took action and suspended the accused post in-charge.
According to the information received, a 17-year-old girl, resident of a village in Dibiyapur police station area, had eloped with a young man in May 2025. After this incident, the family members had lodged a named missing report in the police station. Initially, the investigation of this case was with Sub-Inspector Abhay Pratap, which was later changed and handed over to Plastic City outpost in-charge Ramveer Singh.
The victim’s father alleges that when he reached the police station to recover his daughter, the investigating officer demanded money from him. In his helplessness and determination to get his daughter back at any cost, the helpless father borrowed Rs 10,000 on interest from people and gave it to the policeman. Despite this, the police neither took any concrete action nor found any trace of the daughter, but after some time the demand for money started again.
Troubled by this insensitivity of the police, the victim’s father directly approached Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Bharti and expressed his pain and demanded an impartial investigation into the entire matter. Meanwhile, the purported audio of the conversation between the victim and the policeman quickly went viral on the internet.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the SP suspended Plastic City outpost in-charge Ramveer Singh with immediate effect late Tuesday evening. Also, the responsibility of departmental investigation of this entire episode has been handed over to Ajitmal Police Officer (CO) Shailendra Singh.
After the suspension action came to light, the accused outpost in-charge has completely rejected all the bribery allegations leveled against him. He says that he did not ask for any money from anyone, rather the father of the minor girl was repeatedly called to the police station for questioning, but he did not come and is now making false allegations. However, based on the viral audio and the statements of the victim, a departmental inquiry has been started and further strict legal action will be taken after the investigation report comes.
