East Champaran, 04 August (H.S.). A human trafficker has been arrested in the district with the help of GRP and RPF. Also, a four-year-old innocent girl who was being stolen and taken for sale was freed on Saturday.
The rescued girl is a resident of Siswa Western Panchayat of Banjaria police station area of the district. According to the information received, the four-year-old girl was sleeping in her house when a human trafficker named Lakshmi Prasad alias Vicky picked her up while she was sleeping late on Friday night. In the morning, the family members saw the girl missing and informed the Banjaria police station. After this, the police of Banjaria police station also informed the railway station during the search. After which it was found that a person is taking the girl in the train going from Raxaul to Howrah, the girl is shouting that this young man is nobody to her and is forcibly taking her with him. After this information, the Railway Police and RPF caught the young man with the girl at Mehsi station. After which he was brought to Motihari.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the young man is from the neighboring village of the girl, and he first reached Sugauli station with the intention of kidnapping the girl and selling her, and from there he was taking her to Kolkata by boarding Mithila Express. GRP has handed over the recovered girl to her family, while the arrested young man has been handed over to Banjaria police station for further action.
