Dhanbad, 20 February (Hindustan Reporter). The Excise Department has raided Mahuda police station area and seized a huge quantity of fake foreign liquor. A total of 198 liters of liquor has been recovered in the raid, the market value of which is said to be around Rs 1.5 lakh.
Assistant Commissioner of Dhanbad Excise Department, Sanjay Kumar Mehta said that the department had received secret information that Chhotu Mahato, a resident of Mahuda, was running the business of spurious foreign liquor from his residence. Regarding which the Excise Department team conducted a raid on Tuesday. However, after getting information about the raid, Chhotu Mahto managed to escape from the spot. The department broke the lock of his locked residence and conducted an investigation. In which 22 boxes of spurious liquor were found hidden in a small opening of the roof. The excise department seized it and registered a case against the accused and further action is being taken.
