Huge increase in tourists in this festival organized in the white desert of Kutch

The Desert Mahotsav organized in the White Desert of Kutch is getting an overwhelming response from the people. This is the reason why the number of tourists is continuously increasing.

According to data provided by the government in the Assembly, more than 7.28 lakh tourists visited Rann Utsav in Kutch in the year 2023. In 2022 this figure was 2.07 lakh.

These visitors included 4,353 foreign nationals in 2022 and 8,322 foreign nationals in 2023. The government also received an entry fee of Rs 3.5 crore.

The government will get Rs 1.72 crore in 2022 compared to Rs 3.25 crore in 2023. Besides, the value of goods sold at handicrafts and food stalls was estimated at Rs 4.19 crore in 2022 and Rs 7.388 crore in 2023.

This information was shared by the Tourism Minister in response to a question in the state assembly. Let us tell you that Rann Mahotsav of Kutch has become a center of attraction for tourists from Gujarat and outside.
