Manipur Violence: The atmosphere is quite tense after violence increased again in Manipur. Meanwhile, civil organizations of the Meitei community have rejected the proposal of NDA MLAs, which called for concrete action against Kuki terrorist groups. MLAs of the state’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) met on Monday night and resolved to launch a massive operation within seven days against Kuki terrorists responsible for the killing of three women and three children in Jiribam district. Called for. 27 MLAs attended the meeting but civil organizations of the Meitei community rejected it and gave an ultimatum to the government to take action against Kuki terrorists within 24 hours.

Condemned attacks on properties of ministers and MLAs

The resolution said that the Central and State Governments will take all necessary steps at the earliest to ensure peace and normalcy in Manipur. The MLAs also condemned the attack on the properties of ministers and MLAs.
A statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat said that based on the findings of the high-level committee, legal action will be initiated against the miscreants. Meanwhile, neighboring state Assam has sealed its border with Manipur. They fear that violence might spread to their state too. Assam Police has deployed commandos on the state border and said that we have inputs about attempts by bad elements to cross the border.
Violence flares up again due to the death of six people
