A Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus met with an accident in Jubbal of Shimla district this morning. Four people died in this, while three are reported to be seriously injured. The injured have been brought to Rohru Hospital for treatment. The police has reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations.
At the time of the accident, there were a total of 7 people in the bus including the driver and the conductor. According to the information, the bus of Rohru depot of HRTC left for Giltari from Kudu of Jubbal at 7 am. After reaching just three km from Kudu, the bus crashed near Chaudi Kanch at around 7.10 am and fell on another road about 100 meters below the ghat. After falling down from the road at the top of the hill, it stopped on the road below, where half of the bus was hanging in the air. If the bus had fallen into the ditch from here, the accident could have been even more terrible. The local administration, with the help of local people and police, took the injured to Rohru hospital. In some time, the post-mortem of the bodies will also be done in Rohru. The cause of the accident has not been known yet.
SDM Jubal Rajeev Sankhayan said that the incident took place at 7.10 am Happened . He told that there were a total of 7 people in the bus including the driver-conductor. 4 of them have died, while 3 are seriously injured. He said that looking at the condition of both the injured, they may have to be referred to IGMC Shimla. It is being told that this bus was going to pick up passengers from Giltadi. On the return journey, this bus carries more than 45-50 passengers every day. In such a situation, if this accident had happened while returning, there could have been a huge loss of life.
