Mumbai: Gold prices continued to rise in Mumbai Jewellery Market today while silver prices again witnessed a decline. The global market witnessed a mixed trend. Gold prices in Ahmedabad Jewellery Market today rose by Rs 500 per 10 gram to Rs 73800 at 99.50 and Rs 74000 at 99.90.
Gold prices rose by Rs 1500 in two days in the Ahmedabad market. However, the price of Ahmedabad silver fell by Rs 500 per kg today to Rs 90 thousand. Gold prices in the world market were indicated to increase from $ 2305 to $ 2306 per ounce to $ 2319 to $ 2320 per ounce. Funds were seen buying gold in the global market.
However, global silver prices remained under pressure. Silver prices ranged from 29.77 to 29.78, high at 29.83 and low at 29.03 to 29.45 to 29.46 dollars. The rupee depreciated against the dollar in the Mumbai currency market today, which had a positive impact on gold prices in the jewelry market.
Meanwhile, platinum prices in the world market were in the high of 974 and low of 956 to 960 to 961 dollars per ounce. While palladium prices were in the high of 910 and low of 885 and 890 to 891 dollars. Global copper prices fell by 1.09 per cent today. Meanwhile, crude oil prices in the world market, however, moved higher. Brent crude prices were in the high of 80.43 per barrel from 82.02 to 81.47 dollars. US crude prices rose from 76.38 to 78.16 to 77.53 dollars.
In Mumbai bullion market today, the price of gold without GST stood at Rs 70891 at 99.50 and Rs 71445 at 99.90. Mumbai silver prices today ranged from Rs 87294 to Rs 87708 without GST with a low of Rs 88928.
