RBI Governor House: The Union Cabinet has approved the appointment of Sanjay Malhotra as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Sanjay Malhotra, a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and currently the Revenue Secretary, will take charge on December 11, 2024. The tenure of the RBI Governor is usually three years. Sanjay Malhotra will replace Shaktikanta Das in the role, whose tenure ends on December 10, 2024.
