Jalandhar : 10 candidates filed nomination papers from Gidderbaha, Barnala, Chabewal and Dera Baba Nanak assembly constituencies for the by-election (Punjab Assembly by-election 2024). BJP candidate Manpreet Badal from Gidderbaha, AAP's Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon and Congress candidate Amrita Waring filed their nomination papers.
Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Bittu, Avinash Roy Khanna were present with Manpreet while Cabinet Minister Aman Arora was present with Dimpy Dhillon. There along with Amrita Waring were her husband Congress State President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring and Ferozepur MP Sher Singh Ghubaya.
