check balance through sms
EPF balance can also be checked through SMS. For this, you have to send an SMS by typing 'EPFO UAN' to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number. After this the system will send a message with the updated balance. If you want to check the balance in your preferred language, then you have to send the language code while sending the message to 7738299899. For example, if you want the message in English, then you have to message – 'EPFOHO UAN ENG'. EPFO provides this facility in languages like English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali.
You can also know through missed call
If you want, you can also check your EPF balance by giving a missed call on the EPFO number. For this, you have to give a missed call to 011-22901406 from the mobile number registered on the UAN portal. But for this, your bank account number, Aadhaar and PAN should be linked to your UAN.
You can also know the balance with the help of Umang app
If you want, you can also check EPF balance with the help of Umang app. For this, first of all you have to install Umang app in your mobile.
After that enter your mobile number and log in.
Go to the search bar and type EPFO. After this the EPFO page will open.
Scroll down and you will see the Employee Centric Services section.
First of all click on View Passbook.
After this a new page will open. Click on Visit Service here.
Now you have to enter your UAN and click on GET OTP.
After this an OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Enter it.
After this your passbook will appear. All the details of the balance will be in front of you.
