How much did the Kshatriyas' displeasure cost BJP? This is the reason behind the reduction in seats in UP and Rajasthan

The results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 have proved to be shocking for the BJP. BJP won 240 seats, while the biggest setback came from Uttar Pradesh. Here the party has got only 33 seats. Which has a direct impact on the majority figure. In the Lok Sabha elections 2019, BJP had won 62 seats in UP, but this time these 29 seats have slipped out of BJP's hands. At the same time, in Rajasthan, where BJP was wiped out in the last two elections, BJP's seats have also decreased. Many questions are being raised about the loss suffered by BJP in these states. There is also a discussion that due to the dissatisfaction of the Kshatriya community, there has been a decline in BJP's seats. The results of Ayodhya show that the differences in the Kshatriya society have deepened.

The reason for the rift between BJP and Kshatriya society

Rakesh Singh Raghuvanshi, president of Uttar Pradesh Karni Sena, said that how can the government give the credit of Ram Mandir movement to another community. How could it ignore the Kshatriyas who fought the most for the temple? The absence of any leader of the community in the Ram Mandir Trust has made the community lose faith in the party.

Rakesh Singh Raghuvanshi said, 'Maharaja Jaichandra Gaharwar insulting the Kshatriya community by making derogatory comments without any facts, making fun of the whole community by making derogatory statements on Raja Mansingh and other Kshatriya kings and defaming the contribution of Kshatriyas and promoting them as national heroes to save temples and some kings also caused discontent in the society.

Discontent in Kshatriya society

The discontent against BJP in the Kshatriya community worsened the party's position in this Lok Sabha election. The fire of this discontent was burning for a long time and during many controversies in the last two-three years, it trended against the party on social media. The controversial statement of senior BJP leader Parshottam Rupala spread anger in the Kshatriya community.

Kshatriyas are decisive in Rajasthan

The votes of the Kshatriya community were decisive in the seats where Congress won in Rajasthan. BJP got a setback due to the displeasure of the Kshatriya community in Dausa, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Tonk Sawai Madhopur. BJP did not give political representation to Kshatriyas in the 2023 assembly. There was a dispute over ticket allocation, but the dispute was resolved during the elections. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the fire of this controversy has flared up again due to the statement of Parshottam Rupala. Rupala's controversial statement regarding the Kshatriya community may not have had any effect in Gujarat, but it had a deep resonance in the Kshatriya community of Rajasthan. Apart from this, Vasundhara Raje also has influence on the Jat and Kshatriya community.

BJP suffered a big loss in UP

The BJP faced its biggest defeat in Uttar Pradesh, where the NDA's tally was reduced from 62 seats to 33 and the Samajwadi Party's seats increased. In 2014, the BJP had given tickets to 21 Kshatriya candidates, out of which 19 won, in this election the party gave tickets to only 10 candidates from the Kshatriya community.
